The first image in this series, The Dance, was selected for the Sony World Photo Awards.
Intrigued by the way the lens captures the human condition, "into the light" is a study of social patterns that aims to highlight the subtle, nuanced moments of interaction between human beings. The work looks at how people engage with one another in social environments such as night clubs or parties where normal ways of behaviour are altered. I was looking for the crucial moment where something vulnerable or insecure was revealed in the people - a moment which allowed for an unfolding narrative to develop beyond that specific frame.
